The majority of applications are submitted as full planning application. These are either minor or major applications, depening or whether the scheme is 10 or more residential units.

Certificate of Lawfulness or Prior Approval applications can be submitted to secure changes of use, householder alterations and a number of other material operations that don't require full planning permission.

If planning applications are refused they can be appealed within 6 months.
